  • Capital structure and adequate financing (equity, debt and working capital)
  • Refinancing agenda (long term debt, structured debt, trade finance and working capital)
  • Restructuring: optimal financing structure
  • Risk Management; scan of current Risk Policy (policies and procedures), comprising Continuity, Counterparty, Market, Treasury and Operational Risk
  • Compliance; review the rules and regulations applicable to the company imposed upon by internal and external stakeholders. E.g. AML, KYC, UBO register but also adherence and other mandatory reports as demanded by banks, auditors, suppliers and government institutions
  • Corporate Governance; review and align the existing policy and procedures with the updated Code; include ESG in overall policy

Team Audit

What can leaders do if they’re unsure or concerned about a team’s performance?

In today’s complex world, organizations need the right leadership teams to address the challenges of today and tomorrow. One of the first priorities of a new CEO is to find to out if the existing leadership team is capable of achieving the next level. Team Audit is the process whereby the team is analysed on the basis of relevant questions about past achievements, competencies, strengths and weaknesses of team members and to get clarity on team dynamics.

Team audit is also important to consider during restructuring and/or business transformations, whereby teams will necessarily face prompting the question to find out if the leadership team is qualified and fit to continue.

Approach

Team Audit looks at team performance through four lenses:

  1. What a great team needs to know (Align)
  2. What a successful team leader does (Build)
  3. The attributes of a team player (Connect)
  4. The critical factors that support team learning (Development)

Asking the right questions provides insight into the team’s performance. Using Hogan Leadership Forecast Series could be an appropriate tool the to assess the team as a whole and the team members individually.
